Bountifuel Energy (“we”, “our”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what the Bountifuel Energy iOS and Android apps collect, how we use it, and your choices.

What the app collects
- Name
- Email address (also used as your User ID)
- Physical address (premises address for configuration and service)
- Precise location associated with the above address as needed for setup and service support
- No analytics or advertising. We do not include analytics SDKs, advertising, tracking, or profiling.
Bluetooth
The app uses Bluetooth solely to discover, connect to, and communicate with your Bountifuel hardware during setup and normal operation. Bluetooth permissions are required for this purpose. No Bluetooth data is sent to our servers.
Network & encryption
- All communication with Bountifuel services uses secure HTTPS (TLS).
- The app does not implement custom encryption and does not export cryptography beyond standard iOS TLS.
How we use your data
- Create and manage your Bountifuel account
- Configure and operate Bountifuel hardware at your premises
- Provide features such as heating and water profiles
- Respond to support requests you initiate
Data sharing
We do not sell or rent personal data. We only share data with providers as necessary to deliver the app’s functionality (e.g., secure hosting) and under appropriate contractual safeguards.
Retention
We retain personal data for as long as you maintain an account or as needed to provide the app and comply with legal obligations. Support emails you send us are kept only as long as necessary to address your request.
Your rights & account deletion
- Access/Correction/Deletion: You can request a copy, correction, or deletion of your data.
- Account deletion: You can delete your account from within the app (Settings → Delete Account). You may also email us to request deletion.
- Permissions: You can change Bluetooth and location permissions in iOS Settings at any time; some features may not work without them.
Children’s privacy
Our app is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your region).
Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the nature of the data we process. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
